Bunny’s updates

After the Gabapentin kicked it, Bunny slept for more than 5 hours. It’s good that he can rest in a comfortable lateral position.

But when I went in to check on him, he knows and he would let out a Bunny-mew.

I made steamed tilapia for him for dinner, but he didn’t have the energy to get up and eat it. So I force-fed him but he couldn’t control his bite and I got bitten quite badly when I tried to put the food into his mouth with my fingers.

So I resorted to using Cindy’s pureed baby food (tender chicken with goat’s milk). I used a syringe and fed him. It worked like a charm. But I had to carry Bunny up, put him on my lap to feed him in a semi-upright position.

Using the syringe, Bunny finished the entire can!

Then, he went back to sleep.

Sedation is a very common effect of Gabapentin but I read that the cat can get used to it after awhile. In any case, being sedated is good for Bunny at this point so that he can rest. Gabapentin is also a very good painkiller, according to the vet.

Goodnight and rest well, Bunny.
