I asked the vet about Samantha today and she said the gestation period could be as short as 60 days, instead of the standard 65 days.
60 days would mean 3rd February, but I still plan to catch Samantha earlier and put her inside the room upstairs.
Samantha and Gerald are the very best of friends. Do I have to bring both of them in and room them together? I haven’t decided yet.
Creamy does not like Gerald much. So he is quite independent and probably won’t miss them.
But the thing is, around two weeks after Samantha’s previous delivery, I saw Gerald and Creamy climbing up to the roof to where Samantha was. A thought did occur to me that Gerald and Creamy may cause injury to the kittens, but I did not know where the kittens were. Only that Samantha always came from the direction of the neighbour’s roof. Shortly after that, Gerald mated with Samantha which resulted in this pregnancy.
Samantha is very elusive and that is why I could not catch her earlier. Even now, she is elusive but at least I can get her to come into the house, if Gerald also comes in.
It’s going to be very challenging confining Samantha in a room. She will surely struggle to escape.
