Bioresis for Bunny (and some steamed tilapia too!)

I started Bunny on Bioresis (https://www.bioresis.com/) this afternoon.

Many years ago, when Daffodil had a huge lump at her armpit, I also gave her Bioresis. I am not sure if the lump reduced in size as it could not be measured, but Daffodil was in good spirits all the way until her natural passing. Only one day before her passing, she stopped eating. That was all. Her heart was already very weak but she was active all the way. Daffodil was Ginger and Rosie’s mother. She passed away at 17.

Back to Bioresis now, I calculated with my pharmacist and the dosage is based on weight. So for very serious cases, it’s 8 sachets per day for a normal adult (say, about 60kg). Bunny is 3kg, that means Bunny only needs 0.4 sachets per day. I came home, encapsulated one sachet and it come up to about 12.5 capsules. If I do a better job, it could be 12 capsules. That being the case, Bunny would need 4.8 capsules per day. But my pharmacist says Bunny can even go up to 1 sachet per day.

Since Daffodil has taken it before for many months, I know cats can take it.

Here’s something about cats and mushrooms: https://wagwalking.com/wellness/can-cats-eat-mushrooms

Bioresis contains a very high concentration of beta-glucan 1-3, 1-6 which has healing properties and this particular product is supposed to be anti-cancer and anti-tumour. Human tumours have been known to shrink after having taken it. That’s what I’m told by my pharmacist based on his clients’ feedback. The FAQ says it is also helpful for the gastrointestinal tract.

I’m just aiming for Bunny to feel more comfortable and even if the brain tumour can shrink a little, there would be less pressure on his brain and that would give him more comfort.

So I started this afternoon with just 1/2 capsule of Bioresis. The pharmacist says it can be encapsulated or taken with water (mixed with water – it tastes like chicken essence, he said). Previously, for Daffodil, my other pharmacist-nutritionist said it tastes like coffee, so I didn’t try giving it to Daffodil neat. I encapsulated it too. But Daffodil was very, very difficult to pill.

Talking about chicken essence, I suddenly remembered a dog-rescuer friend who used to give chicken essence as part of the palliative care plan for all her terminal dogs. So I checked and found this:

Brands’ Chicken Essence for cats: https://yourpet.boards.net/thread/8882/brands-essence-chicken

It is okay for cats too, but I guess it has to be Brands’ original pure chicken essence without other herbs. I’ll see if Bunny likes the taste of Brands’ Original. My friend said her vet also recommended this chicken essence to be given to her cat. Many years ago, I gave Wendy (the dog) Brands’ Chicken Essence as part of her palliative care plan. Wendy was a rescued dog who had terminal distemper. She was rescued from the Klang pound in 2009.

As for the Bioresis, I started by giving that 1/2 capsule to Bunny along with whatever remnants that was left on the plate after encapsulation. I mixed that with hot water to dilute it (hot water does not destroy the nutrients in Bioresis, my pharmacist specifically told me). I would try both – the capsule as well as giving it neat mixed with water. I tasted it too, well, it tasted like bitter chicken essence. Not like coffee.

Bunny ate the 1/2 capsule but he did not particularly like the Bioresis mixed with water. Still, he did not reject it. Good Bunny Bun Buns.

I’ll try Brands’ Chicken Essence tomorrow. Not too many new foods and supplements on the same day.

Jia-Wen and Ming-Yi came to see Bunny today.

Bunny acknowledged by mewing.

Bunny had a later dinner just now where he ate one can of Cindy’s and even had some steamed tilapia. He still cannot eat on his own, so I’m still syringe-feeding and as for the steamed tilapia, I put it into his mouth. He did not reject it. In between the food, I gave him two capsules of Bioresis and one capsule of Slippery Elm Bark.

Bunny urinated when he was earthing tonight. I saw the colour of the urine and it is yellow. His kidneys are still able to concentrate urine.
