I placed hot water bottles around Bunny so that he is warm.
While Bunny is still able to eat, he remains in a very weak condition. The overly yellow urine isn’t a good sign, according to the vet (either a liver problem or losing red blood cells fast). The vet thinks it could be Immune-Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia (IMHA). IMHA is never good. We lost Heidi to IMHA within two days despite getting blood transfusion from our little hero at that time, Smurfy. Heidi deteriorating so quickly, it was very scary and shocking.
Bunny’s brain functions is also deteriorating. However, he let out a mew this afternoon and his reflexes are more active today than yesterday.
Bunny has already eaten two cans of food and I will be feeding him again later tonight. Despite what I thought were good signs (that he could eat again), the vet says the Darbopoeitin jab will not help Bunny anymore.
