There is yet another new visitor to our porch, probably trying to take Samantha’s vacancy.
This time it’s a small tortoiseshell whom I will call “Misty”.
So, there’s Socks, Pepper (the ginger with white socks), the earlier tortoiseshell who was pregnant and now, Misty, another tortoiseshell.
Samantha fought off the pregnant tortoiseshell in a very dramatic fight last time.

This is Misty. Definitely female. I gave her food.
Meanwhile, there has always been a nest of eagles at our park too, but today, a neighbour told me that many cats on his road had gone missing and he suspects this eagle had caught them. Sigh. Law of the Jungle. He said this eagle even caught a 4kg fish from another neighbour who has a fish pond. Just as we were talking, another eagle flew past high up and he said this is “just the child” of the big eagle.

The eagle is HUGE.
And yes, she can carry off cats, puppies and other small animals. I worry for Creamy and Gerald. Creamy loves going to the park and it’s very difficult for me to stop him. But nowadays, Creamy only comes to eat twice a day. At other times, he goes back “home” to his street at the back.

Gerald spends most of his time in our porch, but whenever I got out for a walk, he insists on being my bodyguard. So I have to slow to let him trot after me. And I also cannot walk too far because if I do, he won’t go to far from home, but he will mew at me. So, rather than let him worry, I have to change my route and do “hamster wheel” circuits (round and round the playground). My usual route is more challenging as it goes uphill. I cannot do that because Gerald insists on following me.

My very loyal bodyguard.
