Not one to lose out, Akira has crossed the 400g mark too!

Not only has she crossed the 400g mark, she has decided to move out to the playhouse and stay by herself.

In fact, she had already moved out yesterday. I put her back in the family “nest”. But looks like she wants to be independent. Or maybe because she knows Samantha only favours Kai. It is true, actually, for the whole of today, I seem to remember seeing Kai latching on all the time.
Indra and Kai are with Samantha.
Then, after while, Indra is also missing.
Where is Indra?
Looks like he too has decided to move in with his sister, Akira.
The two are probably feeling left out by their mother. Poor things. And they are only 19 days old.
They know.
When they were first born, Samantha already favoured Kai, being the eldest and probably the most likely to survive. Indra was so small that I was really worried he might just fade away. But I’ve been handfeeding all of them since Day 3, so it’s been okay…so far.
Then, Samantha thought she only needed to feed them for two days. She already left them alone on Day 3. But when she saw me feeding them, she came back to the “nest”. Maybe she needed to be “cued” as to what to do.
Samantha is the first mother-cat with this “problem”!
Although the playhouse is just next to their nest, Samantha’s nest is fast becoming an “empty nest” with Akira and Indra having “moved out”.
Of course I could be totally wrong too!
We should not anthromorphosize. For all we know, Akira is just being adventurous and Indra decided to follow her!
