Whenever Indy is unwell, I worry. This is because no vet can find out exactly what is wrong with him or provide treatment that works 100%.
It’s not surprising since no vet had ever been able to find out what is wrong EXACTLY.
For those who are new to this blog, Indy was rescued at a few weeks old, from the drain by a friend. I was requested by this friend to foster him for “only two weeks” while she went back to her hometown but Indy has been with us for 15 years now. When first rescued, Indy had bladder, ear and eye infection which so bad that these organs had green pus in them. The prognosis was very poor, but he pulled through after 21 days of antibiotics. Over the years/decade, he has cheated death several times now, getting seriously ill (which no vet could diagnose accurately) and then miraculously bounced back…somehow.
So Indy is an enigma.
Two days ago, I noticed that Indy wasn’t looking so well. He did not finish his baby food breakfast too, which was not normal. By the way, Indy has been on Promax probiotics for 12 days now, with the hope of addressing his soft stool problem. Did it help?
You guess it right. Not really.
But to be fair, I think it did help…a bit. Just not entirely.
Yesterday, Indy looked ill. I bought him his favourite chicken liver which he used to love. He ate some of it, but did not finish. Well, at least he ate.
When Indy no longer comes to the door to yell for food, I know something is wrong with him.
This morning, Indy barely touched his baby food. So I gave him 0.2ml of Mirtazapine onto the inside of his ears. After about two hours, Indy was….Indy again!!
He started yelling for food.

He’s been yelling for food since then. Multiple times too.
Indy’s back!!

Meanwhile, Rey has been a real nuisance. He disturbs Indy and Cleo.

Cleo got back her new basket.

Eating for the last two days?
I’m SO glad Indy is back in good form! So what happened in the last two days? Your guess is as good as mine!
