The Princesses this morning and my plans for them (help needed)

Indra is usually more interested in playing than eating but this morning, she was hungry!

But I still see this. I think it’s still Indra. She isn’t toilet-trained yet. There are now 4 litter boxes in the room for them.

Give it a few more days and Samantha’s face will be as good as before. The lesions or the marks left after the skin scraping are almost gone. I’ve scheduled her spaying for Tuesday.

This is Kai.

Akira was sleepy this morning.

They still suckle for comfort but not often.

I will be taking the kittens for their deworming this weekend and bringing Samantha along to let the vet check if she can already be spayed. If so, then it will be on Tuesday.

My plans for the kittens are, in no particular order:

  1. To find a loving home for all of them, hopefully together, but if not, it can be separate too. If together with Samantha, that’s even better. I know the chances are slim. Nobody could adopt Minnie and her boys last time, so a friend finally took them in. But look what happened…I had to take them all back after 1.5 years.
  2. To return Samantha to the porch after being spayed (but may incur the wrath of the complainant) and let her be a CNRM-cat along with Gerald. But there could be problems if Misty is there too. The two girls do not like each other at all.
  3. I adopt the kittens but I have to find a godparent to take them when I die or am incapacitated. It’s at least another 15 years.
  4. To try and see if Samantha and the kittens can live in Bunny’s Place. The problem is not Cow or Indy or even Cleo (I trust our Super Seniors not to harm kittens or even Sam provided Sam won’t annoy them). The problem is Rey. Rey is a bully and he annoys others. We could try putting polycarb sheets on top of Stargate to prevent Rey from coming over but seeing how resilient he is, it is tricky.

I am totally open to suggestions from well-meaning friends and supporters. I would deeply appreciate your thoughts. My vet advised that I should get the kittens adopted and Samantha returned to the porch. I know that being realistic and practical. She said it is not wise to adopt so many. I know. Compassion fatigue might set in.

I still have little Hiro as well. That would have to wait until he has fully recovered.
