Samantha must have recovered. She is so restless in the room.
She won’t let me check her surgical wound but judging from her appetite and appearance, she seems fine. Tomorrow will be Day 6 and on Monday, I could release her already.
However, I am at odds now on what to do. I think Samantha would like her freedom again, but releasing her comes with several risks:
- Samantha cannot get along with Misty. Now, Misty is the head honcho in the porch. Samantha would have to fight with Misty to get a spot in the porch and I certainly do not want them fighting.
- Cmpl – that says it all. He surely will not welcome another free roaming cat, neutered or not matters not to him.
Will Samantha be happy staying indoors with her kittens, the Princesses? She has not been very maternal to begin with. Riley is more maternal than her and that’s the truth.
Meanwhile, Riley has been babysitting the Princesses and keeping Samantha company on rotation. Riley has been so, so, so incredibly good. She takes it upon herself to do all of these tasks.
The big question is: Do I have enough years left in me to adopt Samantha and the Princesses? We’re talking about at least another 15 years. If I do adopt them, I need to find them a godparent, but I haven’t even been able to find a godparent for Hiro or Riley.
