But luckily it’s not my pilling finger.
I was pilling him today and he didn’t like it, so his claws came at me, and nicked my middle finger. Immediately, a blob of blood was seen and my entire arm felt paralysed.
I couldn’t even move the arm at all. It was at least 15 minutes later before I could use that arm again.
That’s how deadly a feline claw nick can be. It paralyses you so that they can make their escape? I don’t know. But Gerald didn’t run away. He stayed.
I know he didn’t mean any harm and that it was just a defense mechanism reflex action on his part.
Which self-respecting cat would want to be pilled, right?
So far, it’s been easier pilling Gerald than Samantha (another story later).

The very, very best of friends.
Gerald’s cough is healed now (what a relief!) and Misty is fine too. The two are the best of friends so what is going to happen if I were to release Samantha?
That will be in another story today.
Gerald and Misty went with me to the park and were my taiji companions. They are adorable. But I only go later in the morning to avoid the eyes of animal-haters. When the sun comes out, those people probably stay inside their houses.
