It happened two nights ago.
Riley made an unexpected grand escape at 11pm that night.
She had already planned it way beforehand.
She hid behind the door, in between the closed wooden door and the screen door.
Then my husband opened the door to go out and she dashed out, quick as lightning.
This time she hid under the car, and by the time I got out, she was already being very evasive. Gerald and Misty were in the porch too. They didn’t help me corner her, though.
Clearly, Riley did not want to be caught this time.
But it was 11pm at night!
She dashed out of the gate, dashed across the road and went up to the park.
I went after her, but she kept running.
It was so dark at the park but luckily I could still see her.
Riley wanted to climb trees.
At 11pm at night?
So I let her climb trees. She went from tree or tree, didn’t really go up very high, just halfway up each trunk.
Finally, after finishing a few trees, she relented and let me catch her.
And I took her back home.
Phew!
She hid behind this closed door and if it is at night and you don’t check, you won’t see her since she is grey-black in colour.
So now, if she is in an escape mode (this is especially when Gerald and Misty are in the porch), we put her in Bunny’s Place.
Aww…
At least she gets to climb up to this ledge. I know, it’s nothing like a real tree. I know.
