The Monsters vaccinated (booster)

I requested for a house call from the vet to do the Monsters annual vaccinations today.

The reasons for the house call are (1) They are all so big and strong, I don’t think I can carry five carriers one by one from the parking bay to the clinic! and (2) They are so strong and not used to going anywhere, I’m so scared they would break out of the carrier while I’m transporting them from my car to the clinic and that would be a total nightmare.

Hence, I was willing to pay for a house call.

When the vet left the clinic, I managed to get the Monsters into the cage without a problem, but Minnie? Uh-uh…no way. She didn’t run away. She just so cleverly evaded me. I had already expected this and had told the vet to prepare 4 vaccines plus 1 (in case, by some miracle I managed to catch Minnie).

Getting each Monster from the cage to the dining room to do the vaccination was hard enough and I ended up sweating profusely. When my husband got back in the midst of it all, he thought I had gone for a walk around the neighbourhood (the profuse sweating).

The kind assistant offered to try to catch Minnie too, but failed. Hubby tried to lure her into the cage.

Haha…

We are talking about Minnie here….

No way!

So in any case, she’s been fully vaccinated during her first year, so this is just a booster. I was told that for parvo, the titers would still be good, but for the various flus, the titers do drop. So the boosters are more for the various flus.

The vet said that since they all live in Ginger’s Catio which is confined, after this, once in 3 years would be good enough.

Hooray!

I also requested the vet to take a look at Cow Mau and this would be the next story for today.

Smurfy and Robin.

Lynx in the middle.

Rey, Robin and Smurfy.

Minnie

She isn’t running away now, because she knows there is no threat. Cats read minds, so there is no way we can fool them.

Ginger, surrounded by all who worship him! The Monsters absolutely adore Ginger.
