Akira’s V-notch did not become a flat tip after all. Granted, if it had, it would have been a big injury with massive bleeding.
So I think what happened two days ago was a play cut to the ear which resulted in some bleeding at the “bottom” of the V, so the two pointed flaps curled up resulting in an appearance of a flat tip.
Take a look at today’s photos:
The blood clot is right there at the bottom of the V.
The vet said not to remove that clot as it would result in bleeding again. Just let it drop off by itself.
And the V-notch is still intact!

It was so hard just taking the above photos. She is playing non-stop! And is super strong!
No wonder Samantha showed absolutely no concern. She must have thought, “You silly human…there’s nothing wrong at all.”
