The boys joined me in feeding Gerald and Misty at the porch this evening.
After that, Gerald and Misty joined the boys at the playground!
Happiness is found in the simple daily rituals in life.
But something challenging happened in between the feeding episode and the playground episode today – Riley sneaked out of the front door and escaped! By the time she was spotted, she was already on the ledge between our house and the neighbour’s. And she was walking away towards the back.
Luckily Riley is very fond of kibble, so I quickly asked husband to bring out the kibble jar. I climbed up onto the garbage compartment platform and kept calling her back.
Ryan was helping to call as well. Jayden was also very excited. The boys were in the garden, helping in their own ways.
Riley came back, but she decided to detour over to the neighbour’s roof by stepping from the ledge to their roof. That’s when I caught hold of her and brought her back down.
Phew…what a relief!
