I used to use Cindy’s pureed canned food for feeding medicine to the difficult-to-pill cats, namely Cleo, the queen with the golden mouth.
It does work pretty well except that I only need a little bit each time so once a can is opened, the longest it can last in the fridge is just four days. A lot would be left over and I have to coax other cats to finish the can before it goes to waste.
And there are only two flavours, that is, chicken and tuna.
So now, I use Ciao Churos to feed the medicine and supplements.
I bought two sets of Churos 40’s, Tuna Variety 132 and Chicken Variety 133, so in total, I have a mixture of eight flavours (10 sticks each) and it even comes with a free pack in each set.
So, now it feeding medicines is a Surprise-Me experience as Cleo and Indy won’t know which flavour I’m giving for the day!
Well, a little surprise element for food is always fun, isn’t it?
One stick can last, perhaps, for three or four feedings for two cats, depending on how much of it I use each time. Then in the next round, it’s a different flavour! Surprise me!
Still needs two humans to do Cleo’s subcut. One to hold the needle in place, one to give her a head massage. Yes, it’s subcut-cum-head massage, please.
Indy is very good during subcut sessions.
Meanwhile, I haven’t had much luck in tricking Minnie and her Monsters to eat anything other than food (read: medicine). As much as they LOVE their food and will guzzle it up in no time, they KNOW if I slip something (other than food) inside.
The first time I topped the food with a sliver of Orozyme, they actually didn’t know and ate everything up. Hooray!
But it failed on the second time and it failed again today. Minnie took a sniff and walked away (“I’d rather starve and die, you cruel human, you.”)
Okay, okay, you win. I will give you a fresh bowl of unlaced food. Come back and eat, please.
Thank goodness she did come back to eat, after awhile. Yes, after punishing me long enough…

Minnie and the Monsters coming over to eat grass this morning.
So it’s back to running after the Monsters to give them Orozyme. Minnie? No way, I cannot even touch her. It’s what we refer to as the “magnet game”, she moves just enough to prevent you from touching her. It’s like the magnet’s like poles repelling.
