Kai has found a new adventure!

Kai has decided she wants to move in with Riley to Tabs’ Safehouse (which is the rest of the house). So she has been sneaking in every day for the last two days.

She sneaked in this morning too.

Exploring everywhere, including the boundary between the Safehouse and Ginger’s Catio – dangerous waters!!

Get away from there, Kai, get away!!

True enough, Robin came charging and slammed on the screen door. Kai ran for her life!!

Riley is keeping a close watch on her sister (at least we think they are related…are they?).

Yesterday, Jayden played with Riley and Kai on the stairs. Hopefully, Kai will be a child-friendly kitty-friend for Jayden.

Kai is the eldest of the Blondies but is now the lightest of the three. She was Samantha’s favourite child, actually, when they were born. Indra, being the youngest and weakest was ignored by Samantha. I ended up handfeeding all three of them!

Now, Indra is the biggest and heaviest, while Kai is the lightest. I just asked the vet yesterday if I should give Kai Mirtazapine whenever she chooses not to eat and would rather play. The vet said no! No need to rely on meds at this young age.

So to make Kai eat, I have to resort to many tricks. One is to follow her in her adventures and explorations and when she stops, I put the food bowl down. With luck, she might be interested enough to eat…or not. If not, she will just sniff at it (hmm…not nice enough) and continue on her adventure. Or I have to stop her food with something really aromatic (this changes from time to time). Or give her a Surprise-Me meal of something new and interesting.

Kai prefer to hunt. She is always hunting for new novelties. She particularly likes waiting at the drain hole for cockroaches and centipedes to crawl out.

Eating is not a priority for her, but it is for me for her!!!
