There was no oatmeal poop this morning at Indy’s poo spot!!
Yay!
But it’s too soon to celebrate as we still have to wait for his poop today and for the next few days or even weeks before we know if the problem is resolved. And even then, it might still come back at a later date.
This morning, I force fed him raw rabbit. He wasn’t willing to eat it by himself. Nowadays, he has a morning routine. He wants to eat a bowl of renal kibble on top of his cage. So I let him. When CKD cats still want to eat on their own, it’s a good thing and for them, I adopt the “As long as they eat” feeding principle.

Eating his breakfast – a bowl of renal kibble. It’s also good that Indy eats up on the cage so that Akira and the Blondies cannot steal his food. Being the gentleman that he is, the moment those girls stick their snouts into his bowl, he will walk away for them to eat. All our Super Seniors behave this way – they give in to the young ‘uns. “It’s just food, it isn’t a matter of life and death,” they say, but actually it is. So I make sure I control the food-thieves and the Super Seniors get to eat. Sometimes, I put the thieving Blondies in Tabs’ Safehouse so that our Super Seniors can eat in peace.

Let’s hope there’s nice poop today, Indy.
