How could I not have thought of this?
Way back in August 2011, we were the first organisation to use RetroMAD1 a year after it was developed by two Malaysian scientists: https://animalcare.my/2011/08/03/meeting-up-with-the-scientist-himself-retromad1/
Now, RetroMAD1 is under a Singapore vet and I contacted him today. He says they have used it in FCGS (Feline Chronic GingivoStomatitis) with success if the disease is caused by a virus, mostly the Calicivirus. But for FIV+ cats, it might just take longer.
When RetroMAD1 was first developed way back in 2011, it was used on symptomatic FIV and FeLV cats with some success.
Anyway, I still have two bottles of RetroMAD1 from Hiro’s and its expiry date is 2025, so they are definitely usable.
The vet says the dosage is 0.5ml/kg, three times a day, 30-45 minutes before food.
So I’ve given Cow Mau the first dose.

Although it’s cold from the fridge, surprisingly Cow Mau did not paw when I syringe-fed him.
So I will feed Cow Mau about 45 minutes from now.
There is hope!!
By the way, the laser therapy vet took some videos of Cow Mau’s mouth after the first treatment:
