Misty’s breakfast (the retraining begins…)

Months ago, I had successfully converted Gerald and Misty to a raw food diet, but over the months, it sort of went back to canned food, and worst, after I confined them for those 18 post-reptilian days, Misty insisted on kibble only.

So, I tried to add in more canned food, and that worked…provided there was kibble toppings.

Today, I’m going to start retraining her back to raw food, even if it’s mixed, but at least she gets some raw nutrition.

I know this isn’t advisable, but diet is individualised due to the preference of the cat. I have added some raw food to the canned food and the kibble is only for toppings because Misty loves kibble.

A pet nutritionist taught me last time that it is still okay to mix canned food with raw food, but keep kibble separate because it is mostly carbohydrates while canned and raw is mostly protein.

She always goes for the kibble first.

There’s some pure raw food in the other bowl.

Finally, she actually ate up almost everything! It wasn’t a sapu habis, but it was good enough.

Gerald came later, mid-morning.

Misty accompanied me for gardening. She’s a very good cat.

She reminds me of Heidi. Not exactly the same, but similar in characteristics.

Sort of…
