Tabs’ 1st (distance) reiki session!

I would like to thank So Eileen for all her sharing and especially for the information about the reiki healer, Daniel. And of course, to Daniel, for his compassion in providing distance reiki to pets who might benefit from this form of ancient healing therapy, especially when travelling is stressful for pets.

Internet searches normally say this:

Reiki is an ancient technique used for stress reduction and relaxation and has been shown to have several benefits for both physical and mental health. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that involves the practitioner gently placing their hands on or near the body.

I just learnt that hand placements is one level. There are other levels too, so what Tabs received yesterday was Distance Reiki (done remotely).

Distance Reiki can be just as effective as experiencing one in person – the Reiki energy “works” regardless of where you are located since it transcends time and physical space. Having a session in the comfort of your own home can often times be more relaxing than spending time driving to get to the centre!

Interestingly, the “ki” is Japanese Reiki is “qi” in Chinese Taiji.

After the session, Daniel gave me a full report of what transpired between Tabs and him. Tabs was at home when the reiki healing was done remotely.

Shortly after the sesson, Tabs was sleeping, which I’m told, is also quite normal as they would feel relaxed and comfortable after that.

Later in the night, Tabs seemed unusually cheerful and she came to me to “connect”. I felt that she was talking to me and I sensed gratitude coming from her. The only thing is, I am not an animal communicator, so I didn’t know what she was saying exactly! But I sensed gratitude from her.

This morning, Tabs was even more cheerful and for the first time ever in her entire life, she ate three rounds of breakfast!

Tabs’ appetite for the past few days had not been too good, that is why I thought some energy healing might benefit her.

Some information about reiki:

Reiki comes from the Japanese word meaning universal life force energy. The practitioner serves as a conduit for healing energy directed into the body or energy field of the recipient with or without physical contact with the body.

The philosophy of this art of cure assumes that human health depends on the level and harmonious flow of the vital energy, called “ki”. Therefore the main aim of this practice is to remove all energetic blockades in an individual’s body.

Round one.

Did some reiki also rub off on Riley? Haha…who knows, maybe it did! Riley was also unusually happy with breakfast. Normally, she would just eat a bit and run off.

Round two.

Riley: Why is Tabs eating my food?

A kibble snack in between.

Round three!

I only needed to send photos of Tabs to Daniel and tell Tabs that Daniel will be doing reiki for her at the scheduled date and time.

Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet that “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than is dreamt of in your philosophy”.

Just as our vet told me that there is so much about our body that modern medicine still does not know about.

Sometimes, it is wise to look to the wisdom of our ancestors and the ancient civilisations. Perhaps they knew more than us now.

(Judging from how much we have destroyed and polluted our earth, I think they did!)
