Nomi and Miao finally go home! (Day 21 and Day 15 after surgery)

Finally, the day we have all been looking forward to….Nomi and Miao are home!

It’s been 21 days after surgery for Nomi and 15 days after surgery for Miao.

Miao’s sutures have been removed.

From Aline:

No more meds for both of them, stool is okay. Only cream for Miao 2x daily for her wound as it is still a bit red but otherwise both healing well.

On the way home….

Nomi must be so happy to be finally out of the e-collar after 21 days!

Nomi’s incision – all healed!

Miao, you will be an indoor cat from now on. Her spaying was done without the ear-notch (we did not provide aid for this as it was a pregnant spay, so the caregivers covered these charges), so she will be kept indoors.

Miao’s incision is all good.

Nomi’s other siblings are Kaya and Minbao. Minbao has been adopted by a loving family from Johor into a luxurious home. Kaya has been missing for some time, but hopefully he is also adopted by someone in the neighbourhood because a few pretty looking cats have gone missing too.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr Chan, Ms Yim, the vet and her team and for all the loving donors for saving both Nomi and Miao’s lives. Thank you so so much for the great help in the past few weeks and we are finally able to bring both Nomi and Miao back home healthily.

Nomi’s special fundraising raised RM3347.00 while Miao’s special fundraising plus AnimalCare’s reserve funds came up to a total of RM3604.00. These funds covered both cats’ diaphragmatic hernia surgeries and Miao’s initial attempted spaying. The rest of the extra boarding charges and post-op wound cleaning for Nomi were covered by the caregivers themselves.

Both of the cats’ first vaccinations were also claimed from our Vaccination Aid.
