Gerald started yowling at around 5.30am this morning. It was loud, persistent and very, very disturbing.
In fact, it was so loud that even the Monsters got angry and launched an attack on him from their catio. Gerald was perched up on the ledge and yowling nonstop. So the Monsters climbed up to their platforms and Stargate to attack him.
It was 5.30am, for goodness’ sake.
We had no choice but to get up and he’s only afraid of husband, so husband had to walk to the back to be seen, and that stopped him.
I was really worried it would have woken the neighbours up. Our Monsters are usually a very tolerant brood, but even they were fed-up of the yowling this morning.
I didn’t get back to sleep. Gerald had his breakfast as usual.
Then he followed me to the park.
It was only much later that I think I know why he was yowling at dawn. Maybe it was caused by Creamy’s presence on the ledge. Creamy came to ask for breakfast in the morning. And again, in the late afternoon. As you might remember, Gerald and Creamy aren’t exactly friends anymore nowadays.
There was a minor altercation before this photo was taken this evening. No fight, though.
Please, Gerald, no yowling after dark.
