Juno’s poop – the magic happened at 11am!

Still no poop this morning. I do know that animals on raw food will not have much faeces because there isn’t much residue left to be excreted. But still, I was getting a little worried. It’s been two days now and she is a tiny kitten.

So I decided to try offering AD for breakfast. It is canned food and will have more residue compared with raw food. When first rescued, she didn’t want to eat AD, but took to raw food.

This morning, Juno liked AD…a lot!

But still no poop yet? None.

I went up to check on her at 8.30am and she seemed hungry. So I offered some Cubgrub (raw food) and she ate again!

She urinated in the correct litter box, but still no poop.

At 11am, I decided to stimulate her to play a bit. Maybe she lacks exercise and movement since she is always obediently sitting in her bed. She was a bit afraid of the string toy. Hmm…not ready for it yet.

She started sucking at my hand, a sign of hunger again? So I offered a bit of raw food, but she didn’t want any.

Then, she went into the litter box.

First, it was urine only. Then, I waited and the magic happened…

Poop, glorious poop!!!

Yay, Juno! Good girl!

I think a bit of AD did the trick, perhaps?

I did also massage her tummy every now and then. But I think it was the AD (with enough residue to make poop). Will continue giving her this diet mixed with raw food. She needs to establish good elimination habit first. It’s important.

Animal caregivers will understand how glorious the sight of poop is!
