Lizzie, Cisco, Charlie and the crows!

Who are Cisco and Charlie?

Lizzie came to eat last night, but this morning, she didn’t seem hungry. Instead, take a look, a grey tabby whom I called Cisco is eating a piece of meat on the grass!

Cisco is a grey tabby who has been around for some time now. I think he’s male, though I’m unsure. He looks a bit like Rey.

Lizzie was chilling on the grass with Cisco, actually. Maybe she smuggled out a piece of chicken for Cisco?

When Lizzie saw me, she wanted to come into the porch so I opened the small gate to invite her in.

She came in, walked around, went to the food bowl and didn’t eat anything. It’s like, “Cheh…the same old food again?”

Cisco was certainly enjoying the chicken.

Lizzie then went back out to rest under the neighbour’s car.

I went for my walk.

I came back after 10 minutes and Cisco had already come into our porch and was happily eating the chicken. I decided not to disturb him and went for another round.

Another 10 minutes and when I came back, Cisco was still eating! So I went for another round and this time, when I came back, husband and Jia-Wen were back and they said Cisco was also still eating when they came back. He didn’t budge when they came into the porch too. Confident cat!

Later on, when we came out to the porch, we saw a smaller grey tabby at the food bowl. Aww…this tabby reminds me of Riley when she first came. She’s the same size. I’ve seen her down the road before, but many houses away. Maybe news spread that there’s a bowl of chicken every day at our porch?

Not only did the news spread to the dogs and cats, but also to the crows.

Two crows were sitting on the wire, waiting to get the chicken. Apparently, crows are so smart, they work in pairs – a buddy system. One crow would keep watch (that’s the lookout/guard) while another picks and chooses a nice piece of chicken from the bowl. Then, they both fly off to the roof to enjoy their food!

Animals are so smart.
