Lizzie has no plans to be trapped or confined.
She is getting more cautious now. I suppose any self-respecting animal would be, after so many times of being “trapped” in our porch.
In the middle of last night, she came to our gate and made a “Wooo….wooo” sound. She was actually calling for us. I heard it and woke up and I knew what she wanted – water. So husband got up and put a bowl of water out. Lizzie drank a lot of it.
So, Lizzie can communicate with us now.
This morning, we put out a bowl of roast chicken and left the small gate open. Lizzie came in, walked a bit, ate a bit, and the moment she saw husband, she decided to play it safe and take the chicken, piece by piece out of the gate to eat.
Smart girl.
Creamy also came to ask for food and I gave him the usual canned chicken, but Creamy only ate half of it. He waited very patiently until Lizzie had had her fill with one piece of chicken left.
Then, Creamy walked over to the bowl, took the last piece of chicken and trotted off via the roof, very happily.
The crows were also waiting for their share at the wire.
Creamy got the last piece of chicken. Victory!
Next week being the school holidays, I think Creamy will come daily again.
