I was at the vet’s this morning to see Indra, and I also brought Juno and Gerald for a check-up (more about them later).
For Indra, the good news is that the food has dissipated, so this clears the way for the endoscopy.

I didn’t get much time with Indra as I had to stay with Juno. But I did see her and she was very excited. Still very alert and active despite having fasted for a day now.

The X-ray clearly shows no more food above the clumped up string. So the vet was right: The food did move down (seeped through the string) and exactly as the vet had predicted, the string was too long (all clumped up) to move into the intestines. So there was no way Indra could have passed out the string as Akira did last year (how on earth did Akira do it, I don’t know).
This means we can proceed with the endoscopy. Phew, what a relief.
However, the vet did caution that if the endoscopy fails, she would have to do surgery (involves cutting to retrieve the string).

I spent some time with Indra before we came home with Indra and Gerald. More about them in the next two posts later.
Right now, the endoscopy might already be in progress.
Please wish Indra a safe and successful procedure.
