Today was Juno’s check-up on her lungs.
In short, her lung condition has improved!!
The vet did explain that normally for such pneumonia cases, the X-rays will only show improvement after 1-2 months, but today’s X-rays already showed marked improvement. Also, Juno’s lungs sound very much better than it was two weeks ago.
Her temperature was normal today. PBF shows only slightly elevated white blood cells (very much lower than two weeks ago).
But Juno had been scratching her ears quite a bit. As it turns out, she has a lot of yeast in her ears, especially in the right one. The vet cleaned her ears and applied Advocate spot-on for her. I’m to clean her ears 2-3 times a week.
Juno was dewormed and weighed 920g on the clinic scale.
She would be ready for her first vaccination in two weeks’ time.
Below are the comparison X-rays from 15th Sep and today’s (29th Sep 2024).
The vet explained the images to me and showed me where the improvements could be seen.
So, all’s well.
Juno doesn’t need to continue with the antibiotics anymore as we don’t want her to develop antibiotic-resistance or to have gut issues due to over use of antibiotics.
and I’m to monitor her breathing and if there is any cough, she just needs to be nebulised. Vetri DMG (0.4ml) can continue indefinitely.
Back home with a reward of her favourite food – Cubgrub’s Quail.
Using the big girl’s litter box!
These are last night’s photos:
She crawled up and found this spot all by herself.
She loves our warmth.
Her favourite toys are these rubber balls.
“Hmm….may I have some too, Tabs?”
