As I’ve written before, normally, if I’m lucky, our cats will show me when they have loose stools. They will defecate when I’m there so that I know and I can do something about it.
Cats are just that smart.
So this morning, Indra showed me that she had loose stools. Sigh…the Blondies are a bit prone to loose stools every now and then. Perhaps they have sensitive and delicate stomachs.
So I gave my go-to probiotics, Adored Beast’s Feline Gut Soothe. Earlier on, I had given everyone a postbiotic. This is a new product which is supposed to be good for gut integrity. It also has slippery elm, which is good for loose stools. I don’t know if the postbiotic caused Indra to have loose stools, but no one else had it except her.
Anyway, once she showed me she had loose stools, I gave her some Feline Gut Soothe and some Pro-Fiber. Then, I continued to monitor her. She was active and had her normal appetite. She wanted kibble.
We were going out for the afternoon, so before going out, I noticed some loose stools again. So I gave her another dose of Feline Gut Soothe.
By the time we came back in the evening, I quickly checked her usual poop spot – there was no loose stools. Okay, good.
But then, I saw some formed stools (just a bit wet, but with form) on the pantry counter. Now, who would go poop there? I suspect it was Indra. Perhaps she wants to show me her stools, that she is getting better.
So I checked the CCTV footage and true enough, it was Indra!
Caught on camera! But isn’t she clever? I think she purposely defecated there so that I would know that she’s getting better!
Cats are so clever!!
The next post is also about clever cats…
