Ops Lizzie – finally, jadi!!

After feeding her for more almost two months now (first spotted on 3rd Sept 2024), we finally managed to secure Lizzie this morning.

It wasn’t difficult, actually.  Maybe she’s tired of running and being homeless?

She was following husband around the park, and then, came to our gate. Husband patted her and I brought out the chain, expecting her to bolt like she had during previous times. But, Lizzie didn’t escape this time. So I just casually looped the chain over her neck and that’s it.

Then, I quickly called the adopter, Mr P, but he was busy getting ready for work.

So, we half-carried Lizzie into my car. She didn’t even resist. Such a good dog. She went in quite willingly too.

We drove to Mr P’s house, which is just down our road, about 300m away.

I kept reassuring Lizzie in the car that we are taking her to a safe new home and not to worry, that she will be well taken care of.

It was quite easy getting her out of the car too. There was no struggle. We settled her in Mr P’s porch with him. Mr P says he will take her to the vet’s this afternoon for a check-up.

I gave Lizzie several good hugs and reassured her again.

And, our job is done! It took longer than we would have preferred, but we did it without trapping her.

C=Care in CNRM.

We sent a care package of Lizzie’s favourite foods to her just now.

I walked past the house earlier on and Lizzie lifted her head and saw me. Will not walk past again today so that she settles down. According to Mr P’s daughter, she’s quiet. We also saw her when we sent the care package just now. She looks comfortable.

Lizzie, you are in a safe place.
