A good, good morning with the Blondies!

It was an unexpected good meal this morning! ALL of them ate raw food!!

Unbelievable! Haha…

Akira is currently the hardest to get to eat raw food. I had to follow her until the sandpit (toilet) before she would eat. It is a known fact that cats will not eat where they defecate, so go figure….these Blondies!

The two gingers are a bit easier to coax to eat. Today needed no coaxing!

Take your pick, Your Majesty. *Curtsy*

She sapu habis both! One Cubgrub and one Coco&Joe’s.

Now, my deal with them is such that even if they eat a raw meal, they are still rewarded with a snack of kibble as dessert. I know, I’m a total sucker. And if they don’t eat a raw meal, they will still get kibble because I don’t want them to starve. It’s not a very good deal, but I just don’t want them to starve, especially when they don’t have very strong stomachs.

They did not finish this kibble, which is good. It means they are treating it as a snack. A dessert. Not the main meal.

Kai and Akira aren’t even interested! Whoopee!

Sometimes, it can be so frustrating when they don’t want to eat any raw meal. I prepare Cubgrub, Coco&Joe’s and cut-up chicken meat. Sometimes all three fail miserable and all they want is kibble. I need to manage my frustration by lowering my standards and not insisting that they eat raw when they are not willing to.

I suppose feeding Jayden gives me some comfort too, because sometimes Jayden just doesn’t want to eat anything that we offer as well and there’s no negotiation with him. And yet, he is a good size and weight!

So I take comfort in telling myself that some people, human and cat, are just difficult to please when it comes to eating! My grandmother’s admonition of “Eat up every grain, there are poor people with nothing to eat!!” simply will not work! One parent even told me that her child would say, “Here…take my food and give it to those poor people.”

Can’t beat them, eh?

But this morning is a GOOD, GOOD morning and I rejoice!!!! 100% raw food for the Blondies….YAY!!!
