Finally…the magic happened (firm stools from Juno)!!

The last hurdle in this nasty coccidiosis of Juno’s – to produce firm stools happened at 9.40pm just now!!

Take a look at these lovely, wonderful stools!

The loveliest stools I’ve seen since Tuesday. Still a bit wet and slightly blood-tinged, but that’s because of the inflammation in the colon.

Did the steamed pumpkin do the job? Or was it the Kaolin-Pectin? Or was it just time? It doesn’t matter! But I think I will give Juno steamed pumpkin again tomorrow. My gut (!) tells me that did the job.

She’s eating kibble on her own too, and this magic happened yesterday.

We have one more small hurdle to go – the soreness on the tail at the anus. Juno keeps biting it. We should have driven back to the clinic to get the e-collar but it was raining heavily. Our makeshift e-collar did not work because Juno knows she can crawl into tight spaces and force the collar off of her. Smart girl! And she hides in the bathroom or goes behind the curtain to lick her butt so that I won’t know what she is doing.

We will most likely get the e-collar from the clinic tomorrow.

Now, she’s awake and playing.

Poop, glorious poop!!!!
