Breakfast time at dawn!

I woke up at 3.50am this morning. It’s crazy, but I could not go back to sleep, so I decided to get an early start to catch up on the news and some reading.

But Tabs, Riley and Juno call came to the kitchen, so I fed them.

Juno ate home-cooked food.

Then, kibble with Riley. Juno still hasn’t gained any weight since coming back from hospitalisation. She used to be 1.46kg, but is only 1.37kg now. So that’s a loss of 90g. It would take time to gain back that weight and continue gaining weight. We are working on that now since all the symptoms of coccidia and the secondary gut infection are gone (nice glorious poop!).

Ginger’s eye is still tearing, but a little better this morning. The squint is there. As for his ear’s ceruminous adenoma or glandular hypoplasia, the vet did mention that if the tumours increase in number, one method is to freeze them to remove them; it’s called cryotherapy and it can be done only if needed. For now, it’s just monitoring the condition.

Ginger had home-cooked breakfast, but Minnie also wanted it. Minnie hero-worships Ginger.

Rey also wanted some!

Over at Bunny’s Place…

I had an unprecendented surprise! Riley is eating raw food by herself with Samantha! Riley eating raw by herself – now, this is a real bonus. It has happened before, but probably just once a month? At other times, I have to finger-feed her raw food daily.

Another unexpected surprise here – Akira eating Cubgrub by herself after a whole week’s boycott!

There is no pattern with the Blondies. When it happens, it happens. It’s like the lottery of life.

But I could not get Kai and Indra to eat any.

Samantha having a second helping of raw food.

Good girl, Akira, good girl! Thank you. Three bows!

I’m still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new food to try on all our cats, especially the Blondies who need novel new changes all the time. A variety of foods has its benefits too, but introducing them has to be done gradually to prevent stomach upset.
