The second meal of the new foods (Fur/Ball Salmon and Nottipet)

I had some Fur/Ball Chicken left over from yesterday, so I added their bestseller, the Salmon, this morning.

This morning, I had checked everyone’s litter-boxes and sandpit, their stools were all glorious and well-formed so I think it would be safe to offer some to Gerald. Being an outdoor cat, I cannot monitor him all the time, that is why I did not give him any new food yesterday before I tried it on our indoor cats. Still, I know every cat will respond differently to any food, but at least there was no adverse reaction from any of our cats after yesterday’s new foods.

Gerald ate up everything. I gave him Fur/Ball’s Chicken and its Salmon as a topper to his usual raw chicken gizzards and breast meat. Sapu habis, and kept yowling for more.

Juno had a home-cooked breakfast this morning with Fur/Ball as a topper. She also ate it all up. I’m glad because Juno, the Blondies and Ginger are my primary targets for Fur/Ball. They are the ones who need cooked food. Juno and Ginger have a medical reason, but the Blondies? They are just fusspots, that’s all! They need novel and new tastes all the time.

Of course, Tabs is also not left out. She had her KD (renal diet) topped with Fur/Ball.

That’s Juno eating, but in the background you can hear Gerald yowling nonstop for “something”. Either he wants more food, or, I don’t know….with Gerald, it could be anything! But I know I’ve fed him enough food.

Now, comes the Blondies. This is Fur/Ball’s bestseller, their Salmon, surely they wouldn’t reject it, right? I hoped.

Indra ate!

Samantha ate today! She rejected it completely yesterday.

Kai took some convincing and finally relented by eating some. She wasn’t too interested.

Akira totally rejected it. You see…I knew it! Yesterday, she ate it neat and a lot too. Today, it’s a total rejection. I tried offering it as a topper with her Cubgrub – no. Then, I offered it neat – also no. Fine, you fusspot, you can have your kibble later.

It was a “no” from Riley too. But with Riley, we already have a feeding pattern going on has worked for a long time. Twice a day, I finger-feed her raw food, and in between she grazes on kibble all the long like a goat. With this, she’s maintained her weight at a healthy level and touchwood, she’s okay. I offered Riley Fur/Ball as a topper and neat, but she totally rejected it. When I finger-fed her last night with her raw food, I sensed she didn’t like it too. So okay, that’s fine.

Now comes Ginger and the Monsters. I fed them last today, because I foresaw that there would be lots of leftovers from the Blondies and after having mixed raw food with Fur/Ball, I prefer use all the food up and not store it again. True enough, there was a whole bowl of leftovers.

Onwards to Ginger’s Catio now…

Lynx couldn’t even wait for me to serve them. He went straight for the container of Fur/Ball, neat. He loves it!

Rey, Robin and Minnie came to eat too. The good thing today is, Rey and Robin ended up eating more of their raw food today, with Fur/Ball as an initial topper. Robin was acting up a lot in the past few weeks, but today, he sapu-ed and sapu-ed. Minnie had multiple helpings too.

Ginger soon came and he had a home-cooked breakfast with Fur/Ball as a topper. He ate it up too.

Smurfy was nowhere to be seen. What’s with this enigmatic mysterious guy? Where is he?

He finally showed himself and refused to even look at me. Fine, it’s your sign of protest.

I know how to make you come down…..

Snack time….kibble!!

There….he ate!

I just want to make sure everyone has a decent meal twice a day and no one is hungry. If I can achieve that, I’m thankful!

There are two more flavours of Fur/Ball which we have yet to try – lamb and beef. Their bestsellers are their Salmon and Chicken. I bought all the flavours for protein rotation and perhaps, as a novel protein. Variety is the spice of life.

As for Nottipet kibble, for Day 2 today, what I see is that nobody is crazy about it. The Blondies don’t even finish it. I think they still prefer their regular kibble. That’s okay, because kibble is a snack for them.

Today, PetChef will be arriving. I ordered three local brands to try out. PetChef is cooked food too, but has to be frozen for storage.

Updates on Juno’s condition in the next post…
