Just barely 15 minutes after I wrote that I’d decided to surrender to Smurfy, I caught him!!
What it took this time was to wait for him to come down for food. I brought out the bowls of kibble and this time, instead of waiting for him to eat first, the moment he started eating, I caught him as gently as I could. Then, I brought him into the kitchen and quickly fed him the Promax, and quickly took him out again and let him eat.
I expected him to run away after being “tricked”, but he didn’t.
He continued eating!
I took this photo from inside the house because I did not want to disturb his eating.
But I danced around the house, to celebrate…haha. I did not expect to be able to catch him today!!
One more day tomorrow, but if I fail, it’s still okay. I think he has recovered.
