JoTong rescued a puppy in the rain yesterday and the poor thing was lying beside his lifeless sibling.
Here is the rescue story:

JoTong has since taken the puppy to the vet for treatment.
Serious skin problem….there are pus coming out from his back skin. I ask doctor to update me again on other issues after checking on him thoroughly. A lot of ticks and fleas too 😔. Doctor had to shave certain part of his body, clean and apply cream. Have to deworm as got a very big belly. Parvo and distemper tests are negative.

Last night, JoTong was waking up every 1.5 hours to feed the puppy, but now, she has requested the vet to board him there for a weekend while she tries to find a fosterer for him.
Get well soon, little one.
Let us reiterate here how important it is to get street animals neutered and not give them a chance to procreate anymore on the street.
Street living is very hard, challenging and often, cruel. Most infant street animals do not survive. For example, even on my road, when Samantha (the Blondies’ mother) gave birth to her earlier litter (this was before I could catch her), she lost her entire litter after two weeks. Unfortunately, I could not find them, even though I wanted to save them. After two weeks of going back-and-forth from our porch and “somewhere” presumably to feed her litter, she stopped commuting and just stayed around. Then, she quickly got pregnant again and this time, I caught her before her due date and she gave birth to the Blondies inside our house.
Misty also brought her only surviving kitten, Hiro, to ask us for help. Hiro was diagnosed with a collapsed lung and very severe flu. I got him treated and he recovered, but he had inherited Misty’s FIV. Shortly after that, his immunity took a heavy blow and he succumbed to IMHA. Sweet little Hiro only lived with us for 36 days.
The point is, there will always be street births as long as they are unneutered street animals. So, why subject infant animals to such a harsh life if we can help reduce their population by getting adult street animals neutered…
Every adult street animal neutered is hundreds and thousands of street births prevented.
