The buffet-styled eating is really working!
Akira eating raw food at 3.30am.
Kai and Indra sharing a plate of Cubgrub (topped with shishamo treats) at 5.00am. I added two more rounds for them too.
Samantha also ate a plate of canned food later.
Their kibble reward at 6.00am.
A few days ago, I rearranged the bed and voila...there’s so much more space now. They love it too!
Now, this is their eating spot. I no longer chase after them in the pantry. It’s so much better for me too. No stress.
Mahu makan, makanlah. Tak mahu, kejap makan kibble.
I recall what my raw-feeding friend shared with me a long time ago. He said cats are all nocturnal eaters. So, we puts up the heavy meal, which is several tubs of Coco&Joe’s at around midnight and leaves it there for his cats. He doesn’t need to monitor who eats or who doesn’t as he believes in the “eat or starve” principle and he only gives them raw food and nothing else.
In the morning, everything is usually sapu habis. And whatever is left behind, if any, he throws them away as he says Coco&Joe’s is good for four hours if left out in the open. That’s what he told me.
But of course I cannot afford to “throw away” any food, so if I do the buffet style, I will collect back all the food after at most 10 minutes and keep it in the fridge for the next round.
Now, I’m doing the buffet style with the Monsters too and it’s really working well. This morning, they sapu habis their buffet of cooked food for Ginger, Cubgrub Chicken and Cubgrub Rabbit, Coco&Joe’s, cut up chicken breast meat and liver and beef. I laid out everything and it’s all eaten up! Polished, totally cleaned out.
Buffet style it is now! Until it doesn’t work and I’ll think of something else then.
