Now that I’ve made the decision to move on from a 100% raw diet, it gives me more room to try other foods and it also gives the cats a wider variety of foods.
For those who missed the post, my main reason is my concern over the cold chain logistics which is so important in minimising contamination and food poisoning in raw food. Another reason is that, somehow, my cats just don’t like raw food anymore now. Not as a staple, I mean. And I choose to respect my cats.
So, moving on, I got these treats for our cats. It’s Puffz from Cindy’s Recipe. These are yesterday’s photos:
Ginger and the Monsters liked it…not enormously, just ok. I find the aroma of coconut oil a bit too strong for my own liking.
It comes in six flavours, but I only bought three to try.
Surprise, surprise, surprise, super fussy Riley likes it.
Samantha and Kai too. But not Akira, of course.
I tried it as a topper for their canned food.
I will get more feedback from our cats after using it more. Sometimes, they only like something new for one day!
Today, I decided to just use it as an afternoon snack. It was better received and lottery-strike – Akira also ate it!!
Jayden says he wants to try the new cat food because it’s crunchy, so I had to explain to him the difference between human food and cat food.
