Yesterday was quite the nightmare with regard to Gerald’s yowling.
When I was feeding all our cats dinner, Gerald was yowling nonstop on the back neighbour’s roof. His yowling was excessively loud and persistent. And he just refused to come to the porch.
I had already left his food in the porch but he chose to remain on the back neighbour’s roof, on the ledge, and he even stomped on our roof.
Finally, I went to retrieve his bowl of food before it spoils and noticed that Bushy was there, sniffing at the bowl. Looks like Bushy does not know how to eat raw food, so he was just sniffing at the food and not eating any of it. I told Bushy to go home to his militant house.
He sauntered out.
So, Bushy is gone now. Will Gerald come back?
No, he remained on the next-door neighbour’s roof, complaining till no end that “Bushy was in my porch”.
And he continued complaining nonstop.
This was quite painful.
Finally, I went to one of our bedrooms upstairs and called him to come to the roof. He did, and I carried him into the house. He continued yowling nonstop.
I fed him in the kitchen, he only ate a bit.
The yowling continued. So I put him in Bunny’s Place with his family, the Blondies and the yowling did not stop.
It was madness.
Finally I carried him and put him in the porch again. He yowled a bit, then he went off and at long last….some peace and quiet!
For my recovery process, I’m going back to sleeping early, so that’s what I did. Husband has had a long day at work too.
At 1am, Gerald came to our bedroom window and started yowling. Of course it woke us both up.
I came down and quickly made him a bowl of his food. Luckily he ate it…in the porch. So the porch is no longer taboo.
After eating, he yowled some more but after awhile, he went off.
I went back upstairs to try to go back to sleep. Uh-oh…this is going to be difficult. Gerald had already interrupted my 10pm-2am liver detox window. Sigh…I tried and finally went back to sleep. Okay, something is better than nothing.
But today, I have to do something about Bushy and Gerald’s problem with Bushy.
This cannot go on.
