I was talking to a friend today and realise that there are loyal blog followers who are not my personal Facebook friends, or those who don’t live-and-breathe Facebook. I actually don’t either, but I have to paste our link on Facebook for the sake of those who live-and-breathe Facebook! I usually share health information on my personal Facebook.
So, from today onwards, I’m going to share whatever I know about our own (human) health, particularly what I go through with my own medical issues for the simple reason that we have to take care of ourselves for the sake of our pets.
My recent bout of pneumonia was wake-up call for myself.
I have since found three practising doctors on youtube who, in my opinion, give good professional advice. They use food/diet to treat their patients.
Dr Anne Bosworth (aka Dr Boz): https://www.youtube.com/@DoctorBoz
Dr Pradip Jamnadas (a cardiologist): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOtQHehGWtblMp1gZC8Kq3Q
Dr Jason Fung (a nephrologist): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoyL4iGArWn5Hu0V_sAhK2w
A very special thanks to my dear friend and AnimalCare’s ardent supporter, Ms Yim Soi Chee, for introducing the first two to me. Thank you so much, Soi Chee.

To answer some possible questions,
No, I’m not going on any strict keto diet as that may not be sustainable. I’m just going very low-carb and almost zero-sugar (obvious sugar) to address my moderate fatty liver due to years of unknowingly consuming fruit smoothies. I don’t know if I have any heart problems, but Dr Pradip’s advice on diet is so, so good. I don’t have diabetes, I only have moderate fatty liver which I’m trying my best to reduce because fatty liver can be a precursor to prediabetes and diabetes, and my father had Type 2 diabetes. I also have many friends who are already diabetic in their senior years.
