Sweet Juno and Robin’s updates

Juno is, by far, the most obedient (and possibly smartest) cat we’ve ever had.

Every morning, she waits for her probiotic. Can you believe that? And this morning, she even licked the powder before I could mix it with some Ciao treat. Unbelievable!!

While the Blondies will run for their lives if they see me coming in with a bowl of “medicine”, Juno waits for it.

And until this day, she remembers and cherishes her first toy, this little puppy. She clutches it in her jaw and places it in her “safe” places.

You are the best, Juno!

And how is Robin now? Well, he has recovered from the FIC, but I have to put him on the urinary diet for three months and it’s proving to be getting difficult. This morning, for example, he didn’t want to eat his urinary food anymore. Instead, Smurfy wanted to eat it.

Feeding Robin his antibiotic and the Cystophan requires a lot of strength on my part. It isn’t that difficult (that’s speaking from experience of having had to feed medicine to so many cats), it just requires a lot of strength to hold him down, open his mouth and be fast enough to plop in the capsules without getting bitten by those huge canines! It’s manageable.

But Robin hates water being syringed into his mouth. It’s an absolute pantang on his part. Luckily he doesn’t mind the Ciao treat being rubbed onto his mouth, so I use this.

The naughty one, Smurfy. At least Robin doesn’t run up to the platforms to escape from being pilled as Smurfy used to do. That’s already really helpful. Robin does try to run, but he knows he needs the medicine so he won’t go up the platforms. That’s already considered really, really good of him.
