A truly rare occasion where Akira the Junkie chose raw chicken over her favourite kibble. I really must increase the Blondies’ consumption of wet food. But what can I do when they would rather starve than eat wet food? Recently, Samantha has been going back to Cubgrub, which is a good thing. Kai likes canned food, which is also good. Indra is also willing to eat canned food. The biggest problem has always been Akira.
Riley is also a kibble-queen, but lately, I’ve managed to make her eat a wet food breakfast every morning. Getting there…hopefully.
Smokey is here again.
Here she is.
The two ginger Blondies are bullies. They bully Juno on a regular basis, but lately, they have allowed Juno to join on their “hunts”. I am not sure what they hunt for, I think it’s mostly small worms or tiny insects, perhaps. I hope they will eventually stop bullying Juno because sometimes we have to put Juno into Bunny’s Place for her safety. Akira is not a bully. In fact, she is good friends with Juno, which is really nice of her.
I have to slowly reduce the kibble to being a snack.
See that piece of small towel by the door? I purposely put it there because the Blondies are urine sprayers. Yes, crazy Blondies. They are females but they spray urine. And their latest spray spot is at the door, right at the entrance. But by putting this towel on that spot, they have not sprayed there since.
I must also write about Kai’s bald spots. Kai started having bald spots on the right side of her body. It started with one, then it increased to three bald spots. I did not take her to the vet. Instead, I applied virgin coconut oil onto the spots and voila…look! The hair grew back and the spots are gone! I think I only applied VCO three times.
That’s Gerald during one of his trips inside. Look at the string from the cat tree? Now, that’s a real danger. The Blondies and Juno are all very interested in strings. So, we have already cut off the string, and glued back one end of the cat tree.
In fact, Juno is so interested in strings that she even remembers which of my pants have a drawstring. She will dig and dig until she finds the drawstring. It’s really crazy! After Indra’s endoscopy to remove that string she had swallowed, I’ve been very, very careful with strings in the house.
