Creamy is the back neighbour’s cat. His name over there is Abu (we only found this out a few months ago). I named him Creamy when I got him neutered two years ago.
But Creamy comes over daily for food, twice.
And he only wants raw food, not cooked, canned or kibble. A bit strange….I wonder if it is because he just wants something different from what he gets at home.
This is what Creamy wants. He will patiently wait for this “snack” twice a day, at our front door without making a single sound. This is so unlike you-know-who (Gerald) who yowls before and after food.
And what’s even funnier is…
Creamy has started this new habit of always leaving one piece of food in his plate. Yes, just one piece.
It reminds me of a Chinese custom whereby if someone gives you a gift, you have to return something and if you have nothing to return, you can return some of the gifts the person has given you. I know, it sounds terrible (to return someone’s gift), but I learnt this when I was staying in Penang during my university days. The first time was when we bought our landlady a cake for her birthday. She cut it into half and returned half of it to us. I was shocked…why?? Then I learnt it was the custom. It was supposed to be acceptable practice.
Is that what Creamy is doing?
We will never know, right?
