Hi friends,
More information to share with all of you.
I went for my pneumoccocal vaccine this evening and was so lucky to get a radiologist in attendance at the clinic. So, vaccination done, and then I asked him if he could interpret my blood test results for me. I learnt quite a few things from it!
There is a score called the Framingham score where you could calculate your heart attack risk using your age, gender, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, systolic BP and whether you are a smoker or not. Here it is: https://www.mdcalc.com/calc/38/framingham-risk-score-hard-coronary-heart-disease#next-steps
My heart attack risk from these factors in the next 10 years is 2%, so I think I’m pretty happy with it. But let’s hope I don’t get run over by a bus instead. You know, accidents can happen.
Then, the radiologist offered to do a liver ultrasound for me, and he did.
Guess what?
My fatty liver has gone from moderate to mild from September 2024 until now! In fact, he said it was very mild, like it wasn’t even an issue.
Am I happy?
You bet I am!!
So, many thanks to my brilliant pharmacist again (how many times has he saved my life…too many!) for the liver supplements that he recommended which I dutifully took and many thanks to the green jackfruit powder which is a researched supplement in India (I have already shared this extensively).
Today is a good, good day!
Today’s ultrasound was not intentional, actually. I have already made an appointment to see a gastroenterologist-hepatologist next week. So I will still see what the expert says.
This is Tabs. With all our super seniors gone now (they lived till 16-18 years), Tabs and Ginger, at 15, are our seniors and oldest. I need to be in good health to see all our cats through. Hence, I need to take care of myself.
