Where were you all morning, Gerald?

I woke up at 3.30am this morning and could not get back to sleep.

So I went downstairs to read some news and get some work done. But Gerald did not come.

That was really strange. Normally and almost always, he would come the moment I wake up, regardless of the time. And he would be yowling until I feed him.

I fed all the cats at around 5.30am and still, Gerald had not come at all. I went out for a short walk to look for him, while sending telepathic messages for him to come home. There was still no sign on him anywhere.

By 8.00am, we had to go over to look after the boys in their house today. We came home awhile before heading off to the hospital for my long-awaited appointment with the top fatty liver specialist and reseacher. Gerald did not come back and that got me worried.

But by the time we reached home at around noon, there he was!

Hi Gerald!! Where have you been all morning??

I quickly fed him and he was not particularly hungry too, but he finished the food.

So why didn’t Gerald come this morning? Perhaps he was angry I had put him indoors all day yesterday, from morning until at night. I had to release him last night because he was yowling to get out. But in the afternoon, he was actually sleeping very soundly in a basket in Bunny’s Pantry.

Sometimes, Gerald will disappear for long hours in the afternoons. I suspect he has some place else to go to. But he always comes back twice a day for food.

Maybe he has a home somewhere? I certainly hope so.
