Remember Lizzie?
It was in early September 2024 that we spotted this dog wandering helpless and haplessly around our neighbourhood, clearly lost. We started gaining her trust by feeding her.
It took us 1.5 months before we could finally get her into our car and drove her to a kind neighbour who had agreed to adopt her (what a total miracle that was – to be able to find someone to adopt a local adult dog!).
That was in December 2024 and the adopter said he would be sending her to his orchard where there were other dogs and also a very large area for Lizzie to run around. His orchard is manned by workers who would take good care of her. Lizzie was spayed and vaccinated.
Every day, I walk past Lizzie’s house and I would get to see her.
And now, it’s April, and Lizzie is still at home (not at the orchard), which is a good thing. She even has a new collar now, and is no longer on a long leash. She’s free in the house compound.
So I still get to see Lizzie every day when I walk past her house. She’s really such a good dog and doesn’t bark unnecessarily.
