Kelly is all okay after the rain

I went down to check on Kelly just now.

She’s okay after the rain. She was smart enough to go to the VIP’s house to shelter from the rain. I found out from the guard that actually the VIP doesn’t quite mind Kelly’s presence as long as she doesn’t keep giving birth. So that’s settled now, because I’ve already got her spayed.

I also ascertained that a kind person had adopted her kittens.

The night guard was also there this evening it was almost time for the change of shift at the guardhouse. The night guard also looks after Kelly.

The neighbour who had first promised to get Kelly spayed did offer to share in the cost of spaying after I got it done, but I said it’s okay. If he wants to help, he could instead buy Kelly some food, and he did today. The guard showed me a few cans of food, but he said Kelly didn’t want to eat any of it.

So I asked him to take out the canned food and show me how he offered it to Kelly. He just opened the can and left it there. There was a layer of jelly at the top, so Kelly definitely doesn’t know how to eat it off the can. So I showed him how to break up the food, and I force fed Kelly first. She is a very cautious cat. After having tasted it only did she begin to eat it, most heartily too!

She has a flower pot to sit in, very comfortably too!

I’ve checked her wound and it’s nice and dry. The vet did a fantastic job at that.
