Rey – he is actually asleep, but he is a very courteous cat and will always wake up to greet me when I got out to the catio.

Smurfy loves being in the cage.

As long as the cages are covered, the Monsters love going inside. The doors are never locked unless we really need to confine them, which rarely ever happens. The smaller one belongs to Robin. He leases it out to Lynx and Ginger at times. The bigger one is currently Smurfy’s. Both roofs belong to Smurfy, though.

These are super solid rust-proof stainless steel cages. Otherwise, they won’t be able to withstand the strength and sheer weight of the Monsters!

Even the cat-tree had to be reinforced three times with wall and floor plugs. We’ve tried a normal cat tree for the Monsters – it could not even last 2 weeks before it was all mutilated and broken!

Gerald and Creamy still come daily for food, but they are rarely here in the hot afternoons.

I prefer it hot. At least there’s no danger of floor waters which happens during thunderstorms. Hot is safer than rainy. We can always put out more fresh water for the animals and they know how to look for shady or cooling places to rest in. I get so worried during thunderstorms, but Nature is such. It’s not a perfect world.

In fact, it is such an imperfect world.
