Robin eats canned food?!!

Magic happened yesterday and today!

Robin ate something other than his raw chicken!!

I had just taken some food out to feed them when Robin straight away went for the canned food! That is a mixture of Cindy’s Original with Broth (most cats like this!) with Fur/Ball’s Salmon.

Then, he went for the Cubgrub! This is unprecedented since the last few months when all he wanted was raw cut chicken. If I don’t offer this, he walks away and would rather starve. Good boy, Robin, good boy! At least he is eating a variety of food now.

Just to be sure this is Robin, look at the tail – yes, that’s Robin, alright. Rey has a long tail.

Ever since Robin had the FLUTD/FIC, he was on the RC SO diet after which he insisted on nothing except raw chicken. This has been happening for months and I could not do anything to change it at all. He was just plainly insistent and stubborn on what he wanted to eat, but he did eat RC’s Dental as well, which has the S/O index to decrease the incidence of urinary problem, so that’s good, I guess.

I know, so much has been written about RC’s ingredients. They use grains and by-products. For example, RC Dental’s first ingredient is wheat gluten. Below is taken from the pack sold in Malaysia. But if you check their official website, they have another dental product for cats where the first ingredient is dehydrated poultry protein. Why is Malaysia getting this version where the first ingredient is wheat gluten?

I’m only using this as a dental product which also has the S/O index because a vet highly recommends it. His cat of 10 years has been on it for the long term and has no dental problems at all. I have yet to see any results as this would be a long term project.
