Creamy “merajuk”?

Is there an accurate English word that means “merajuk”?  I think not. Merajuk is a Malaysian cultural trait. You’d think it only happens with Malaysian humans? No, it happens with Malaysian cats too!

I’m actually quite relieved that Smokey hasn’t come for two days now. When she comes, she really makes Gerald very upset and this disrupts the entire breakfast routine at the porch. Smokey has a home and she is fed there, she only comes for a small snack.

So, I thought there would be peace on the porch today. Well, yes. Gerald finished all his food, but Creamy refused to eat his usual favourite raw chicken. I don’t know why. Again, Creamy has a home, so maybe he’s not hungry. I changed his food to canned but he also refused.

Maybe Creamy “merajuk” over something?

He came back later at almost 10am, to ask for food. This time he finished up all his raw chicken and went home.

So, all is well.
