We have provided an aid of RM150 for the spaying of this female cat, Xiao Hei.
Ms Liew also submitted a medical aid for Xiao Hei’s post-neutering issue, but this did not qualify for the aid (please scroll below for details).
Updates on all previously-claimed cats are below. Ms Liew looks after two colonies, one in Puchong where she stays and one in Subang Jaya where she works. Xiao Hei is from her Subang Jaya colony.

The medical claim was for the below:
When we asked for more details, we learnt that Xiao Hei was still breast-feeding when Ms Liew took her for spaying. Xiao Hei’s milk glands had not dried up yet. After spaying, it was likely that Xiao Hei could not breast-feed, and this caused her the swelling breasts and the fever.
We strongly advised Ms Liew to please wait until a nursing mother-animal to have completely stopped breast-feeding before sending them for the spaying procedure to avoid such incidence in future. One way is to ensure the babies can already eat independently and have already stopped nursing, and/or separate the mother-animal from the babies for 1-2 weeks to ensure the milk glands have all dried up before sending her for spaying.
